MUSKOKA MOUNTAINWORKS Rock Climbing & Ice Climbing Guides

Jonathan from Muskoka Mountainworks has guided me 4 times now. Twice ice climbing and twice with my daughter rock climbing. Jonathan is very professional and very safe. I don't have any concerns about the safety of my daughter while she's climbing. I would highly recommend Muskoka Mountainworks for any guided climbing. I will definitely use Muskoka Mountainworks for my next guided climb.

Great experience! The class were small, so it was great student/teacher radio. Which was good for me as a newbie. Highly recommend for any climbers new to ice climbing. Jonathan is a great teacher with a lot of patience and knowledge.

We had never gone climbing before so I took my fiancé for his birthday and Jonathan was our teacher. We cannot say enough amazing things about our experience and I had no idea I'd enjoy it as much as I did! They provided us with the newest, top of the line gear, and took a 10 minute snow-shoe hike to get to our spot. There was a variety of heights and climbing levels and we ended up climbing a total of 4 different ice walls (which was the perfect amount - I don't know if my arms could take anymore!) but Jonathan was an excellent teacher, he was calm and confident and explained everything we needed to know from how to tie a knot, to belaying one another. I highly recommend this company and ice climbing experience.

This is my fourth time climbing with Jonathan from Muskoka Mountainworks and I can’t wait for the next adventure. I’ve done two top rope sessions with him, an ice climb and I just finished my sport climbing workshop with him. He gave me confidence and helped me transition from gym to crag. He is such an amazing guide and person. Super friendly and informative. For any beginner, intermediate or advanced climber, definitely get Jonathan as your guide!

Jon is a fantastic guide, and a lovely person. He is thorough and patient in his instruction. I loved that he covered outdoor conservation topics and various outdoor climbing gear options as part of the course. I would strongly recommend him to anyone looking to transition from gym to outdoors, get into ice climbing or just spend a nice day climbing at the Ontario crags.

Great experience! Jon is very knowledgeable and made everyone feel comfortable on the ice for their first time. We had perfect weather and the hike in was beautiful. Can't wait to try a different crag next time.

I went out for a day of ice climbing which was an incredible experience!Jon was communicative, eager to share his knowledge and incredibly passionate about climbing. It was my first time ice climbing and he made it such a fun experience, despite the freezing cold temps.
